How does it work?
ID Shield redaction software uses OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology to convert scanned images to a digital format. Once the image is converted, rules based logic is applied to the data to locate patterns of numbers, key words and phrases which identify varying levels of confidence for potentially sensitive information.
Once identified by ID Shield redaction software, you have the flexibility to automatically redact the sensitive data or send the image to the ID Shield verification module for acceptance / rejection of potential redaction zones. The redaction zone is then "burned-in" to a copy of the image, preventing a would-be identity thief from viewing the sensitive data.

ID Shield redaction software has demonstrated the ability to sustain a rate of up to 100,000 images per day (depending upon images characteristics and quality) on a quad processor 3.0 GHz server.
Technical Specifications
ID Shield can process most standard image formats, including TIFF and PDF. An XML output is created as an "Audit Trail" to track processing of each image and operates on industry standard hardware and software platforms.
