ONBASE MANAGEMENT MODULES
OnBase® offers several methods of retrieval, including document type/keyword searching, text searching and full-text searching. The custom query feature allows the creation of custom templates for specific, frequently conducted searches. OnBase's cross-referencing feature enables users to select an open document and automatically retrieve any related documents regardless of data type. With the OnBase Application Enabler module, users are able to conduct content searches by selecting a field within a third-party line of business application, be it Windows-, web- or text-based.
OnBase offers numerous options in displaying search results and the descriptive information to be included. The OnBase Client provides an array of options for viewing (forms overlay, thumbnails, zoom), annotating (mark-up, redaction, notes, electronic signatures), revising and distributing (via e-mail, fax, print) the document.
Much more than simply a repository for archived content, OnBase improves the way organizations perform critical business tasks. One way is by sharing internally generated content among knowledge workers. To this end, OnBase EDM (Electronic Document Management) Services provides document management and library services (long-term/persistent checkout, check-in) for application documents such as word processed documents and spreadsheets.
OnBase also improves an organization's operations by standardizing and accelerating processes in which work is accomplished. OnBase Business Process Management (OnBase BPM) provides an extremely powerful, versatile solution for managing content and transactions. A completely integrated component of the OnBase system, OnBase BPM leverages the configuration parameters established for the rest of the enterprise content management system. As with all of OnBase, OnBase BPM is point-and-click configurable, enabling the swift creation of sophisticated BPM solutions. Additionally, OnBase BPM easily integrate with, and provide the backbone to, e-commerce solutions, and can be be tied to organizations' legacy, ERP, CRM and other third-party enterprise systems.
