ONBASE FACSIMILE IMPORT FOR RIGHTFAX
Many industries remain paper-based or are in the process of transitioning into an electronic document environment. In order to provide a seamless bridge to support the evolution of business processes, Hyland Software has integrated with Captaris' server-based RightFax application. This integration provides a standard model for inbound faxes while embedding outbound fax functionality to desktop users.
Application
The OnBase/RightFax connection module runs as a service polling the RightFax Enterprise Server for inbound faxes ready for importing into OnBase. Upon successful polling and import, faxes can be made available in their respective OnBase document types, a scan queue for document type assignment and indexing, or an Onbase workflow lifecycle.
Customers using RightFax and OnBase will have the opportunity to manage business-critical documents online with electronic images of those documents. In a typical customer scenario, OnBase provides the ability to immediately make available all fax documents from RightFax to specified users within an enterprise. As fax documents from RightFax are archived into OnBase, users will have the ability to manage (retrieve, view, annotate, cross-reference, highlight, print, fax and e-mail) documents online with the OnBase Client. Customers utilizing the integration will also have the ability to make available any image and related documents within an OnBase Workflow life cycle or accessible over the Internet or the corporate intranet.
