ONBASE PRINT DISTRIBUTION
OnBase Print Distribution is designed to facilitate and streamline the scheduling, distribution and printing of information that is performed on a regular basis. Print Distribution enables users to schedule print services from a central processing site, across a WAN, and designated remote locations. Print services are defined through a combination of print distribution groups and document keywords. Customizable and flexible, OnBase Print Distribution supports different document types and, if desired, will manage a different print format for each document type. Additionally, the ability to print copies of documents from one or more of the document types in a group is available.
Application
Organizations implement OnBase Print Distribution to print documents that have been processed into the system with the OnBase COLD/ERM module. At many companies, it is usually the IT personnel at a main site that are responsible for printing and sending daily production reports to all company facilities. Typically, the printing and distribution takes considerable time and effort. OnBase Print Distribution is implemented to streamline the process and make it more efficient.
OnBase Print Distribution enables IT personnel to process daily reports using OnBase COLD/ERM. The designated administrator configures the OnBase Print Scheduler to begin processing the print jobs on a select weekday, at a select time, after COLD processing has completed. If they select every weekday morning, at 9:00 AM, then at 9:00 AM every weekday morning, OnBase automatically retrieves the appropriate documents from the database, processes the print jobs, and distributes them across the WAN to the remote locations. The managers at each site are provided with their own reports, at a designated printer, at a scheduled time, on a scheduled day.
The benefits of OnBase Print Distribution are immediately realized with the automation and remote printing of reports. Reports that may have previously been mailed to remote locations now print directly at the location. Shipping costs are eliminated, man-hours are reduced and managers have immediate access to information.
